NC Opportunity Scholarship

The state of North Carolina provides the Opportunity Scholarship to private school students who reside in North Carolina. Scholarships range from approximately $3,000 to $7,000+ and are based on a family’s household income. You may apply for the first priority wave of grants from February 1 to March 1.

Please note that there is no way for the school to know your student’s probability of receiving this state scholarship. We encourage families who could benefit from this scholarship to consider applying directly with the state. Applying for this scholarship can be done before your student has finished the admission process.

Tuition Assistance

A variety of sources of financial aid are available for families who qualify. There is a limited amount of Worthy Student Aide funds available directly from the school. Applications for scholarship funds may be obtained from the school office. Members of SDA churches may also apply for tuition assistance scholarships directly from their church. These scholarships are awarded at each church’s discretion and may be based on factors such as attendance, grades, or timely tuition payments. Contact your church office or pastor for details. We encourage you to inquire. Please be advised that whatever tuition scholarships does not cover, it will be the family’s responsibility to pay.

Partnering for Eternity (PFE) Scholarship Grant

Through this service-oriented scholarship program, our participating students are paired with elderly adults in our community in a mutually beneficial way. Students in the PFE program, along with their parents, bring joy to the lives of senior citizens through fun activities such as visiting, reading, and playing games. When appropriate, they may also provide light housework. As the young people build generational bridges and learn the value of service, they also benefit from the wisdom and mentorship of the older adults. In the process, their time together helps finance the student’s Christian education. If you would like more information, please contact the school office.

Student Accident Insurance

Students are enrolled in a limited, secondary accident policy, which covers school-related activities. This means that the parent’s insurance is primary. Information sheets are available at the school office.

Financial Collections and Policies

The student’s account for the previous year’s expenses must be settled before the student is permitted to enroll for the current school year. All student accounts are to be kept current. When a student’s account is thirty (30) days past due, his/her name will be referred to the Financial Tracking Committee. Any student whose account is sixty (60) days past due will be suspended from school until the account becomes current or proper financial arrangements are made with the principal.
