Captain Gilmer Christian School is a great place to learn more about your world and discover more about our Savior, Jesus. Students at CGCS have a very busy and active school life. Each morning they start their day with a devotional thought with their teacher and joint prayer. While making friends and developing social skills, their days are spent actively learning and exploring math concepts, writing, the Bible, reading, enjoying hands-on activities, physical education, outdoor exploration, technology, music, research, STEM experiments, journaling, project-based learning, and much more! Added to the curriculum there are field trips, outreach opportunities, musical performances, and mission projects.

Home & School
Home & School allows for parents and families to support the students of our school in a variety of fun family activities, classroom involvement, fundraisers, and many different ways. Go to our calendar to see what programs and events are scheduled.
Enrichment Classes
We offer Spanish and Art classes for students in grades K-8th.
Music
Captain Gilmer Christian School offers a full music program for all students. We offer choir, band, and strings, as well as private lessons which can be arranged. Band and string instruments are available for rent and will be taken care of by the parents. Private lessons are at an additional cost. Further information is available from the school office. We want the students to discover that music can be a ministry for God and that their talents can be a blessing to others, as well as to their own lives by inspiring and uplifting their thoughts and elevating their soul. – Education, p.167.
Performing Music Groups
Classes in Handbells, Band and Strings are available for students in grades 5th-8th. Available for home-school students.
Junior Acroknights/Mini-Knights – (Gymnastics)
Fletcher Academy offers gymnastics classes for Kindergarten through 8th Grade one day a week after school. Students learn the basics of gymnastics and how to work together as a team. Special fees will apply. Available for home-school students.
After School Sports
One day a week after school, CGCS staff and volunteers play organized sports with the students. Teams are mixed – boys/girls and age levels (ages 4-15 yrs of age). Sports offered vary according to season: football, hockey, and basketball. A small fee will apply. Available for home-school students.

Lunch Order Form
To sign up for school lunches, please click on the google form below. All orders MUST be placed weekly by 9AM, Wednesday’s mornings. Money must be turned into the homeroom teacher by Thursday’s morning.
